The Sponza Palace Dubrovnik assigned the traditional awards "Orlando" for the pieces of art as part of the Summer Festival. "Orlando" for best drama was won by the director Oliver Frljić for play "Danton's Death" by Georg Büchner.
Members of the jury were unanimous in their decision to award this man. As stated in explaining the award, "Frljić’s the interpretation of Buchner's drama exposed in elementary, reduced to a conflict of thesis and ideas and turned into a sharp theatrical essay on the disappointment that comes after the revolutionary zeal and precedes despair." The jury however, points out that "because of the message that it is not so, but also because of aesthetic level and consistency of his work, and the way in which he showed to great dramatic works are not only a museum but patterns and incentives for active consideration of the problems of modern man, the citizen Frljić was awarded by the prize with honorable knight named Orlando.”
