In Korcula in St. Mark's Cathedral benefit concert was held by the popular British composer, organist and conductor Sir Nicholas Jackson, and all proceeds from the concert is intended to restore the palace Gabriellis, and the Museum is located.
The concert was organized by the Cultural Centre of Korčula, Korčula Tourist Board and the Municipal Museum. Sir Nicholas Jackson is known worldwide as an organist, harpsichordist and composer who has performed in numerous world stages from Paris, Madrid, London and the USA. He is a permanent member Solista virtuoso London Symphony Orchestra.
As a composer, his first success was the "Mass for All Saints." He composed a piano and concertina "Four Temperaments" which is derived in Split 2009. He is also an honorary Doctor of Herford College, Oxford. Following the travel book of his grandfather, the famous architect Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, who was among the first in English, described Dalmatia, Korcula, in September 2002 visited Korčula and thereby maintain a notable organ concert at the Cathedral of St. Mark.
