Croatian customs, music, art and tourism were presented in the Donauschwabisches Museum in the southern German city of Ulm on Saturday as part of the Kroatien Kreativ programme to mark Croatia's forthcoming accession to the European Union.
The Croatia Day event was opened by Croatian deputy culture minister Berislav Sipus and the mayors of Ulm, Iris Mann and Gunther Czisch. The event featured, among other things, an exhibition of photographs by Damir Rajle, exploring the past and present of the German minority in Croatia, and an exhibition entitled "Between the Adriatic and the Danube: Cultural Diversity of Croatia". Children were able to enjoy the Winnetou programme about popular German-language Western films that were shot in Croatia.
